Bella the llama underwent amputation as a life saving procedure after her leg was broken and infected. She was fitted with a prosthesis and went on to inspire many with her story of overcoming adversity. She wore the prosthesis for 7.5 years until passing away. She is still the official mascot of the Gold Country Amputee Support Group.
Below are some media links of Bella and Michaels’ efforts in creating a usable prosthesis for Bella.
